Just last week, Doulos had their annual Out Door Education Week, which means that we take our classroom outside and learn about the outdoors.  Our goal is to get our students to explore the outdoors, learn about things and see things that they wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to learn about in the classroom.  It’s one of my favorite weeks during the school year! This year, I paired up with the second teacher and her class and we decided to explore plants and animals! We used food to learn about the parts of a plant and we took a trip to the Santo Domingo zoo, in a hundred degree weather, to check out all kinds of animals!
